SHARED TIME
An empty calendar is not a promise.
123Shift shows confirmed windows when both people share their availability. Missing coverage stays unknown, so an empty slot is never presented as confirmed free time.
Here is one evening: both people confirm coverage and awake hours from 07:00 to 23:00. Person A works 06:00–14:00 and Person B works 12:00–18:00. Both choose 30-minute shift buffers; Person B also has a private busy event from 21:00 to 22:00.
That leaves 18:30–21:00 (150 minutes) and 22:00–23:00 (60 minutes): 210 minutes across two windows. With a two-hour minimum, only the 150-minute window is shown. This is a worked example; your actual settings and events determine your result.

THE CONTEXT
Only the inputs that change the window.
Coverage
Each person sets the dates their calendar can reliably cover. Time outside confirmed coverage stays unknown.
Awake hours
Shared windows are clipped to the awake hours each person has set.
Busy time and buffers
Shifts can have personal recovery buffers before and after. Events mark their own duration as busy.
YOUR CHOICE
Sharing is scoped and revocable.
Schedule or availability only
Each person chooses a sharing scope. Availability-only sharing shows free and busy time without sharing private event details. Either person can end access at any time.
Focus and appearance
Personal focus hides partner entries. Shared entries can appear in full color, pastel, or grayscale.
